DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF A LITHIUM BROMIDE/WATER ABSORPTION CHILLER FOR SOLAR APPLICATION IS DESCRIBED. THE ORIGINAL WORK AND MAIN FOCUS OF THE PAPER IS THE DIRECT EVAPORATIVELY COOLED ABSORBER/CONDENSER STRUCTURE DEVELOPED TO SUPPLANT TOWER COOLED SHELL AND TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS.
