Summary

FOUR DIFFERENT SYSTEMS ARE CONSIDERED: COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP, ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP, MOTOR DRIVEN HEAT PUMP WITH THERMAL RECOVERY AND A COMBINED SYSTEM. A SHORT THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS IS CARRIED OUT WHICH SHOWS THAT THE COMBINED SYSTEM HAS THE LOWEST POWER REQUIREMENT. CAPITAL COST ESTIMATES DEMONSTRATE THE ADVANTAGE OF CHOOSING THE ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP.
