Ambient air controller for chilling damp corn.

Author(s) : BENNETT K. A., BROWN R. B.

Summary

An automated ambient aeration system was demonstrated to successfully chill damp maize over a four-month period during the winter of 1999-2000. Temperatures monitored over this time exhibited excellent storage conditions. The system was compared with manual operation from the previous year, showing an improvement in reliability by optimizing aeration opportunities during cold weather cycles.
