An absorption refrigeration prototype for onboard cooling production in fishing vessels.
Author(s) : FERNÁNDEZ-SEARA J., SIERES J., VÁZQUEZ M.
Summary
The authors describe a 5 kW water-ammonia absorption machine prototype operating at -15 °C and designed for fishing vessels. Components are designed to operate normally regardless of the ship's movements. The process is rather attractive as the cooling medium (sea water) is free and the heat of the engine exhaust gas is not used.
