AN ANALYSIS OF LOSSES IN SCROLL COMPRESSOR.

Author(s) : HAYANO M.

Summary

A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR PREDICTING FRICTIONAL LOSSES HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. EACH FRICTIONAL LOSS IN LUBRICATED ELEMENTS CAN BE CALCULATED. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT MOST OF THE LOSSES OCCUR BETWEEN THE BEARINGS AND THE SHAFT, AND BETWEEN THE ORBITING AND THE FIXED SCROLL. AN INDICATOR DIAGRAM IS OBTAINED BY MEASURING THE COMPRESSION PROCESS. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS SHOW THAT THE LEAKAGE LOSS IS GREATER THAN OTHER COMPRESSIONLSE. THE SUM OF THE FRICTIONAL LOSSES IS ALSO OBTAINED BY THE INDICATOR DIAGRAM. THE SUM OF THE CALCULATED FRICTIONAL LOSSES AGREES WELL WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULT.
