Summary

THE ORIGINAL OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT WAS TO INVESTIGATE, PREPARE BUDGET CALCULATIONS AND CARRY OUT INITIAL PLANNING AS FLEXIBLY AS POSSIBLE AND TO INVESTIGATE VARIOUS WAYS OF UTILIZING LARGE OUTDOOR AIR HEAT PUMPS IN COMBINATION WITH OIL-FIRED BOILER PLANTS FOR THE SUPPLY OF HEAT TO A NEWLY BUILT RESIDENTIAL AREA. THE REPORT SHOWS THAT A CENTRAL HEAT PUMP PLANT, ATTACHED TO THE OIL-FIRED BOILER PLANT, IS THE MOST ATTRACTIVE ALTERNATIVE. IT CONTAINS DESCRIPTIONS OF VARIOUS ARRANGEMENTS AND DESIGNS CONSIDERED, TOGETHER WITH OTHER WORKING MATERIAL SUCH AS THE LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMOS CONCERNING HEAT SUPPLY, THE ENQUIRY MATERIAL THAT WAS ISSUED FOR THE HEAT PUMP UNIT, SKETCHES OF THE BOILER PLANT WITH HEAT PUMP AND OTHER MATERIAL.
