Summary

In the paper, experimental data of the circumferentially local heat-transfer coefficients as well as the circumferentially averaged coefficient are presented to clarify the characteristics of the heat transfer to refrigerant-oil mixtures flowing in horizontal evaporator tubes. The heat-transfer mechanisms are discussed in terms mainly of the variation of the heat-transfer coefficient around the tube perimeter.
