Summary

The authors examined whether rat sera obtained from rats which underwent cryosurgery (c-serum) affected the in vitro neutralizing activity of a Winn assay, blastogenic response of lymphocytes to mitogens (PHA, Con A), and the mitogenic response in a mixed lymphocyte tumour culture assay. They observed that c-sera did not affect the results of any of these experiments. It suggests that serum factor dose not directly affect the immunosuppression following cryosurgery.
