AN ON-SITE ANALYSIS OF AMBIENT CONDITIONSIN AN AIR CONDITIONED THEATRE HAS REVEALED THAT THERE WAS A LACK OF < CLEAN AIR > CONDITIONS, UNCOMFORTABLE TEMPERATURES AND OVERRATED FRESH AIR INTAKE VOLUMES IN RELATION TO SUITABLE AIR CHANGE RATES. SUGGESTIONS ARE GIVEN FOR ACCEPTABLE AIR CIRCULATION RATES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS OF THE THEATRE.
