Summary

The paper deals with an energy conservation possibility by applying the recuperative plate compact heat exchanger with cross flow. The heat capacity of the recuperative heat exchanger was analysed for the air-conditioned chamber under various operating conditions (changeable temperature of input air and different air flows). For meteorological data valid for Belgrade in one calendar year and a chosen air-conditioned model facility, calculations were made to determine the efficiency of the plate heat exchanger during one year as well as possible energy conservation per year by its application in the air-conditioning plant.
