Summary

ONE OF THE METHODS FOR ESTIMATING THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE CLIMATE IN THE CLIMATE ROOM IS TO SIMULATE THAT BEHAVIOUR WITH THE AID OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE ROOM WITH THE COMPLETE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM. IN THIS PAPER SOME ASPECTS WILL BE DISCUSSED ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL IN CONNECTION TO THE DESIGN OF A RECENTLY DEVELOPEDCLIMATE CABINET FOR THE RESEARCH OF AIR POLLUTION EFFECTS ON PLANTS, A SO CALLED FUMIGATION CABINET. THE RESULTS FROM THE DESIGN CALCULATIONS, HAVE BEEN USED TO BUILD A PROTOTYPE OF A FUMIGATION CABINET. IT IS FOUND THAT APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICAL MODELS CAN BE VERY USEFUL WHEN DESIGNING CLIMATE ROOMS.
