Describes a two-phase study of the thermal comfort of 30 Building Research Establishment employees. Presents the results, which show that the participants felt warmer in their home than in their office and warmer in their office than in a climate chamber even when the indoor climate was identical and they conducted the same activities and wore the same clothing in all three environments.
