Summary

A simplified cost minimization methodology, based on the "Theory of exergetic cost" was applied to evaluate the economic costs of all the internal flows and products of a pressurized hot-water-driven absorption machine. The authors demonstrate that once these costs are determined, an approximately optimum design configuration can be obtained.
