Are pylons and radon a lethal cocktail?

Summary
Notes that radon gas and powerful electromagnetic fields (EMFs) have separately been linked to cancer. Bristish scientists now claim that these two environmental hazards can combine. The mechanism is that electric fields attract the radioactive decay products of radon and make them vibrate. This would make these carcinogens more likely to stick to the airways and the skin. Notes a study set up to test this theory. Points out that 23,500 British homes lie within 50 meters of power lines carrying 275,000 volts or more.
