Argon production optimization in a cryogenic process to improve yield and reliability: a qualitative analysis.

Author(s) : KUCHIPUDI S. R.

Summary

At present, a lot of existing air separation plants are being used in the production of argon on a large scale. These plants were constructed based on old technologies and need a lot of improvements, both in process technology and design aspects. The existing plants require in-depth study of the different subsystems and innovative solutions to be developed to improve the yield and the reliability of the process. The paper describes one such study.
