Summary
This guide embodies the experience of current practice in thermal storage and needs to be read in conjunction with the references listed in the bibliography. An introduction and terminology lead to a comparison of the 6 basic methods. Quick-sizing formulas are given for early estimates of plant sizes. A satisfactory final design requires careful matching, adjustment and refinement of the interlocking systems, flow rates and temperatures. A.R.T.
