Summary

THE PAPER UNDERTAKES THE STUDY OF HEAT STORAGE FROM SOLAR SOURCE OR OTHER SOURCES IN ACCUMULATOR-TYPE HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH HEAT TRANSFER SURFACE, WITHOUT PHASE CHANGE. THE AUTHORS PRESENT THE CALCULATION BASES UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN THE THERMAL REGIME IS INFLUENCED BY: HEAT FLUX, PRIMARY AGENT FLOW AND ITS MASS IN THE SYSTEM, SECONDARY AGENT MASS, OVERALL HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT, INITIAL TEMPERATURES OF THE FLUIDS. THE RESULTS OF THE EXPERIMENTAL TESTS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE THEORY. THE STUDY AIMS TO OBTAIN, AT DESIGN STAGE, DATA WHICH SHOULD LEAD TO OPTIMIZING HEAT STORAGE INSTALLATIONS AND PARTICULARLY THOSE BELONGING TO LOW TEMPERATURE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING SYSTEMS.
