Assessing the capability of the HPSIM program to simulate room air conditioners.
Author(s) : MARQUES M. E., MELO C.
Summary
When the actual system charge is used, the performance of the HPSIM program, developed by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, is strongly dependent on the adopted void fraction model and on whether the refrigerant dissolved in the oil is accounted for. Comparisons between experimental and computational results are presented and discussed for both cooling and heating modes.
