Summary
Saving of energy used by the total refrigeration plant is achieved by using specifically designed evaporators. Heat transfer, air separation, choice of fans and DC-fan motors, transmitting of dynamic pressure to static pressure and air circulation are the main basic elements for this purpose. The energy consumption of the fan motors is reduced by 60%. An increase in the evaporating temperature of the refrigeration plant in the range 1-1.5 K reduced the power consumption of the compressors by approximately 4.5%. The total energy consumption of the refrigeration plant is thus substantially reduced.
