Summary
The augmentation of heat and mass transfer can improve the performance of lithium-bromide falling film generator. To enhance the heat and mass transfer, the authors should begin with improving the efficiency of the fluid covering on the surface of the tube, increasing the disturbance of the liquid film, etc. Some type of extended surface outside the tube can be used such as the fin tube. The convection coefficient of heat transfer is increased from 43.7 to 55.3%, and the coefficient of mass transfer from 31 to 49.2%, compared with the smooth tube.
