Autocascade system and low temperature refrigeration.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Autocascade refrigeration systems are able to produce -150 °C or even lower temperatures with multirefrigerants and a common compressor. Compared with the similar freezers employing a 3-stage cascade system, -150 °C freezers employing autocascade systems cut down two compressors and the related oil separators and drier/strainers, and therefore simplify the control systems and improve the reliability of the whole system. A detailed introduction to autocascade systems and their application are given in the paper.
