Summary
The article shows the basic principles of refrigeration based on the absorption cycle. It illustrates the thermodynamic modelling of mixtures, which operate in some components of an absorption refrigeration cycle. It also it explains the server cycle, which uses hydrogen in order to avoid using a pump during the process. Finally, some considerations on the COP of this type of system and its environmental impact are discussed.
