BEHAVIOUR OF HALOGENATED REFRIGERANTS. 2. APPLICATIONS.

COMPORTEMENTS DES FLUIDES FRIGORIGENES HALOGENES. 2. APPLICATIONS.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE AUTHOR HAD IN AN EARLIER ARTICLE (SEE ABSTR. 90-1378) PRESENTED THE BASIS OF CONSTRUCTION OF SOFTWARE FOR CALCULATING THE THERMODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF HALOGENATED REFRIGERANTS FROM THE 4 FUNDAMENTAL EQUATIONS AND FROM THE ENERGY FUNCTIONS OF ENTHALPY AND ENTROPY. THE SOFTWARE MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE STATE OF THE FLUID FROM PRESSURE-TEMPERATURE DATA (BY APPLYING WHAT IS CALLED THE < NEWTON > METHOD). IN THIS ARTICLE, THE AUTHOR DEALS WITH CASES WHERE ANOTHER DATA PAIR IS KNOWN (IE, PRESSURE-ENTHALPY) BY USING ANOTHER METHOD (CALLED THE < DICHOTOMY > METHOD) IN APPLYING IT TO THE SIMULATION OF A SIMPLE REFRIGERATING INSTALLATION WITH A LIQUID-VAPOUR EXCHANGER WHICH REQUIRES RESOLUTION IN A SUPERHEATED VAPOUR PHASE AND A SUBCOOLED LIQUID PHASE.
