Summary

A SUITE OF COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF A NUMBER OF REFRIGERANT FLUIDS IS DESCRIBED, AND THE COMPUTER CODE PRESENTED. ESTABLISHED EQUATIONS FOR SPECIFIC HEAT, VAPOUR PRESSURE, LIQUID DENSITY AND THE EQUATION OF STATE ARE USED. HOWEVER, THE PROGRAMS REPRESENT A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT OVER SOME EARLIER SIMILAR PROGRAMS IN THEIR FLEXIBILITY AND SPEED OF EXECUTION. THEY ARE PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR USE IN HEAT PUMP OR REFRIGERATION SYSTEM MODELLING, AND INCORPORATE A COMPREHENSIVE ERROR REPORTING SYSTEM.
