Summary

ON LOWERING THE TEMPERATURE THE SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITION CHANGES FROM A SECOND TO FIRST ORDER TRANSITION. THE RESPECTIVE CRITICAL FIELDS AND DEPENDENCE OF THE MAGNETIZATION ON THE MAGNETIC FIELD AND TEMPERATURE ARE FOUND. THE MAGNETIZATION DISCONTINUITY IN THE VORTEX CORE IN MAGNETIC SUPERCONDUCTORS IS NOTED. DUE TO THIS PROPERTY AND THE RELATIVELY LARGE SCATTERING CROSS SECTION, MAGNETIC SUPERCONDUCTORS ARE CONVENIENT FOR STUDYING THE SUPERCONDUCTING VORTEX LATTICE BY NEUTRON DIFFRACTION TECHNIQUES.
