POINTS OUT THAT QUANTIFYING < TOTAL > COMFORT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AS IT IS COMPRISED OF ELEMENTS AS DIVERSE AS TEMPERATURE AND AESTHETICS. CONSIDERS IN SOME DETAIL 2 FACTORS INFLUENCING COMFORT (THE THERMAL ENVIRONMENT AND LIGHTING) USING A THERMAL SIMULATION MODEL FENESTRA. THE MODEL CAN PREDICT THE SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL CONDITIONS OF HEAT AND LIGHT WITHIN A ROOM AND CAN RESPOND TO EXTERNALCONDITIONS OF AIR TEMPERATURE, WIND AND SUNLIGHT AND PREDICT THE INTERNAL AIR TEMPERATURE AND MEAN RADIANT TEMPERATURE.
