Summary

FROZEN OR FREEZE-DRIED ALLO-TRANSPLANTS (SPONGY BONE TISSUE OR BONE SPLINTERS) ARE USED IN ORTHOPAEDICS ALL OVER THE WORLD. TO AVOID POSSIBLE POSTTRANSPLANTATION COMPLICATIONS IT IS NECESSARY TO REMOVE FATS, BONE MARROW AND ANTIGEN PROPERTIES THEREFORE, NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND BIOPREPARATIONS WERE DEVELOPED WITH BETTER BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES: DEMINERALISED BONE TISSUE AND AUTOLYZED BONE TISSUE. CLINICAL OBSERVATIONS FOR SEVERAL YEARS PROVES THEIR PERMANENT POSITION IN ORTHOPAEDICS AND HAVE SHOWN BETTER RESULTS COMPARED WITH THOSE USING FROZEN AND FREEZE-DRIED SPONGY BONE TISSUE AND BONE SPLINTERS. NEW DEVELOPED BIOPREPARATIONS: OSSACOL AND BIOCERACOL, REVEALED NEW POSSIBILITIES AND HIGHLY EFFECTIVE MEANS FOR THE SURGICAL PRACTICE. C. B.
