A STEADY-STATE MODEL HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND SOLVED TO PREDICT THE HEAT REQUIREMENTS OF A DOUBLE LAYER POLYETHYLENE COVERED COMMERCIAL TYPE GREENHOUSE FOR SEVERAL AMBIENT CONDITIONS. AIR SOURCE AND WATER SOURCE HEAT PUMPS, ELECTRIC RESISTANCE AND BOILER, OR A COMBINATION OF TWO OR THREE OF THEM, HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED AS A HEATING SOURCE. OPERATION COST ANALYSIS HAS BEEN MADE FOR EACH SYSTEM.
