Summary

STATIC BOUND STATES OF A MAGNETIC FLUX IN LONG JOSEPHSON JUNCTIONS WITH LOCAL INHOMOGENEITIES ARE STUDIED THEORETICALLY. IT IS SHOWN THAT FOR A QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE INVESTIGATION OF THE BOUND STATES IT IS SUFFICIENT TO DETERMINE THEM AT THE POINTS OF BIFURCATIONS WHICH ARISE ON VARIATION OF THE EXTERNAL PARAMETERS AND ARE SIMILAR TO PHASE TRANSITION POINTS. OUTSIDE THE BIFURCATION POINTS THE BOUND STATES MAY BE FOUND BY MEANS OF A SPECIAL BIFURCATION PERTURBATION THEORY.
