Type of article: Article

Summary

AN ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERACTION BETWEEN TWO RADIATING JOSEPHSON JUNCTIONS IN SERIES AS WELL AS IN PARALLEL COMBINATION, WHEN THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM IS OF THE ORDER OF COHERENCE LENGTH, HAS BEEN THEORETICALLY INVESTIGATED. THE EFFECTS OF FREQUENCY-PULLING AS WELL AS COHERENT-LOCKING OF THE JOSEPHSON OSCILLATOR DUE TO THIS INTERACTION HAVE BEEN ALSO STUDIED. THE ANALYSES WILL FIND APPLICATION SPECIALLY IN THE GENERATION OF MILLIMETER AND SUBMILLIMETER ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION.
