Summary

STUDY BASED ON A QUESTIONNAIRE TO WHICH 106 (OUT OF 109) CLERKS, SELECTED AT RANDOM, HAVE ANSWERED. THESE CLERKS WERE WORKING IN 2 BUILDINGS, ONE OF THEM WITH AIR CONDITIONING AND THE OTHER WITH NATURAL VENTILATION. IN AIR CONDITIONED PREMISES, THE FOLLOWING TROUBLES WERE NOTED: HEADACHES AND SYMPTOMS OF LETHARGY RELATED TO THE ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING OF THE OFFICES (LOWER BRIGHTNESS AND CONTROL OF THE LIGHTING LESS IMPORTANT THAN FOR NATURAL LIGHTING); THUS THE EMPLOYEE FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE. IT IS NECESSARY TO USE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE NATURAL LIGHTING COMING FROM NON TINTED WINDOWS, TO REDUCE THE USE OF FLUORESCENT TUBES AND TO LEAVE IT TO EACH EMPLOYEE TO CONTROL THE LIGHTING LEVELS IN THE OFFICES.
