TAKING AN APPLE COLD STORE AS AN EXAMPLE, A CALCULATION METHOD IS DEVISED TO DETERMINE THE VOLUME FLOW DISTRIBUTION IN THE GAPS BETWEEN A PLURALITY OF BARRIERS. WHAT IS ASSUMED IS AN APPROXIMATELY TWO-DIMENSIONAL, ISOTHERMAL FLOW ACROSS THE SPACE. THE IMPACT OF FURTHER GAPS WITH A THREE-DIMENSIONAL FLOW ACROSS THE SPACE IS DISCUSSED. WITH MATHEMATICAL MODELLING, A DUCT NETWORK IS ASSUMED IN WHICH A THIN FLOW IS PRESENT. PRESSURE LOSS COEFFICIENTS ARE PROVIDED FOR BRANCHED DUCTS.
