Summary

TO DESIGN AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS OR BUILDING ELEMENTS FOR MUSEUMS AND OTHER BUILDINGS IN WHICH HUMIDITY CONDITION IS IMPORTANT, TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY OF THE ROOMS OUGTH TO BE MEASURED BY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE SIMULTANEOUS HEAT AND MOISTURE RESPONSE OF WALLS. IN THE PAPER, A NEW COMPUTATION METHOD FOR FINDING THE HYGROTHERMAL TRIANGLE RESPONSE OF A MULTILAYER WALL BASED ON DISCRETE FOURIER TRANSFORM IS DESCRIBED. COMPUTATIONAL ERRORS WITH THE PROPOSED METHOD ARE LESS THAN 3 %, AND THE COMPUTING TIME IS ABOUT 1/90 THAT OF THE CONVENTIONAL METHOD.
