This CD-ROM comprises a debate "That refrigeration is essential to modern life", as well as 6 papers along with their discussion papers, presented during the 2006-2007 session of the annual meeting of the British Institute of Refrigeration: absorption refrigeration and jet pumps; hybrid cooling solutions: night cooling and mechanical refrigeration; overview of magnetic refrigeration; optimising air flows in cold stores and retail display cabinets; ground-source heating and cooling in the UK; carbon dioxide for supermarkets.
