This article also describes efforts focused on retrofitting equipment in order to use new environmentally friendly refrigerants, reducing the number of models, new techniques designed to protect product surfaces and many concepts implemented by the firm and subcontractors. Certain types of new equipment, particularly air-conditioning plant, are also described. Emphasis is placed on the fact that Carrier, thanks to its supplies, covers all links in the cold chain. The fastest expanding trade axes are those involving South America, Europe and Asia, between the 35th north and south parallels.
