Type of article: Article
Summary
An effective solar heating system must store enough energy to satisfy the entire annual load. 32 pilot installations are reviewed, some of which have heat pumps to boost the available temperature if required. Heating plant should be designed to make the best use of storage temperatures. Extensive data and costings are given for a new project for the heating of a sports arena. A.R.T.
