Summary
Presents the results of experimental studies of the condensation process in horizontal, elliptical section tubes and demonstrates the nature of the variations in the relationship between the surface heat-transfer coefficient and the density of the heat flux. The limits of the flow regime as a function of the mass velocity of the flux is determined, and equations are proposed for the calculation of the coefficient of surface heat transfer and pressure gradient in oval plane tubes.
