Summary

The cooling capacity, heat rejected and input power, which are characteristics of the water-cooled reciprocating water chiller were determined by its external parameters -the temperatures and flow rates of the cooling water and the chilled water. This paper presents the characteristic calculating equation reflecting the internal relationship among the above thermotechnical parameters by theoretical derivation and experimental demonstration. The method is used to simplify the thermotechnical performance test and selection of the water chiller.
