Summary

The geometric characteristics were analyzed for a scroll compressor with the driving bearing set in the orbiting scroll. The final angle and the starting angle for midline of scroll wrap thickness were used for calculating the suction volume, discharge volume, built-in volume ratio, suction angle, and discharging commence angle for both integer circle scroll compressors and non-integer circle number scroll compressors. The driving bearing was set in orbiting scroll to reduce the overturning moment caused by the gas force acted on orbiting scroll and the centrifugal force on orbiting scroll. Thus the working condition of driving bearing for acting forces can be improved.
