Chemical dehumidification by liquid desiccants: an experimental analysis.

Summary

Chemical dehumidification of air by a liquid desiccant in packed tower has been investigated both theoretically and experimentally for air conditioning and industrial applications. A computer model for a packed tower, able to determine the heat and mass transfer between air and desiccant, has been developed and a parametrical study was carried out considering the solutions water-lithium bromide and water-calcium chloride to determine the optimum operative conditions. Some experiments were also made and results were compared with simulations.
