Chiller-tower interaction: take it to the limit or just halfway?
Author(s) : SCHWEDLER M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
One chiller is paired with one cooling tower and the flow of water between them remains constant. Certified selection programs supplied by the respective manufacturers predict chiller and cooling tower performance. With the aid of the chiller and cooling tower selection programs, the chiller/tower pair's part-load energy consumption can be compared at high and low tower fan speeds.
