Summary

A comparison is made between the seasonal heating requirements of residential buildings, computed according to three simplified procedures: a proposal of an Italian regulation under public enquiry, an advanced draft of a European regulation and a correlation developed by the University of Calabria, in Italy. Whereas the last two methods produce similar results, remarkable differences sometimes occur between the first procedure and the others. The authors conclude that there is a need for a further work on this subject, including an experimental confirmation. E.F.
