Climatology: the Earth in the form of a snowball?
Climatologie : le globe terrestre en boule de neige ?
Author(s) : LE MEUR H.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The theory that the Earth was entirely frozen just before the Palaeozoic era (600 million years ago) is a provocative and controversial theory. The author has modelled it. According to recently obtained results, glaciation may have occurred, but a tropical ocean did not undergo glaciation.
