Summary

Today, the first industrial CO2 plants are being installed, mainly in the field of cold stores for frozen foods, but for many applications still more knowledge is needed, i.e. the use at evaporation temperatures above -10 °C, the optimization of components (air coolers), by using equipment for CO2 like plate freezers and freezing tunnels.
