COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF SOLAR RADIATION DATA IN THE ETNA AREA.

Author(s) : CAMMARATA G.

Summary

GLOBAL RADIATION WAS RECORDED CONTINUOUSLY IN AN ANALOG FORM BY A PYRANOMETER. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT STATISTICS DATA WERE STUDIED, SUCH AS PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTION, CUMULATIVE FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION, THE AVERAGE VALUES AND THE NORMAL DEVIATION OF SOLAR RADIATION FOR EACH SEASON. THE COLLECTED DATA WERE USED IN A STOCHASTIC SIMULATION MODEL BASED ON MARKOV'S CHAIN AND ABLE TO PRODUCE RANDOM SEQUENCES WITH THE SAME HISTORICAL STATISTICAL DATA.
