IN THE NOTE, THE AUTHORS REPORT THE USE OF A COMBINED MU-METAL AND NIOBIUM SUPERCONDUCTOR SHIELDING WHICH RESULTS IN MUCH IMPROVED DIRECT CURRENT SQUID OPERATION. THE CONFIGURATION IS SUITABLE FOR LARGE EXPERIMENTS AND IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN THE MU-METAL SHIELDING CONVENTIONALLY USED.
