Summary

IT IS CONSIDERED THE INFLUENCE OF ENERGY RELAXATION IN A SUPERCONDUCTOR ON MACROSCOPIC QUANTUM INTERFERENCE EFFECTS TAKING PLACE IN A RING CLOSED BY A JOSEPHSON JUNCTION. IT WAS EXPERIMENTALLY EVIDENCED THAT THE BEHAVIOUR OF SUCH A RING WHEN EXTERNAL PARAMETERS ARE ALTERED, RADICALLY DIFFERS FROM THE PROPERTIES SUGGESTED BY THE RESISTIVE MODEL. THE EFFECTS REVEALED MAY WELL BE EXPLAINED BY THE MICROSCOPIC THEORY ALLOWING FOR THE EXCITATION ENERGY RELAXATION TIME OF THE SUPERCONDUCTOR.
