Summary
The air in inhabited buildings must be renewed in order to remove carbon dioxide generated by breathing and the oxygen required for breathing must be supplied; odours and steam generated by breathing, perspiration and activities such as cooking, washing, drying of laundry, etc. must also be removed. Thus, aeration must be generalized and running permanently, at least when outside temperature conditions mean that windows have to be kept shut, or where there are no openings.
