COMPARISON BETWEEN INSTALLATIONS CONTROLLED BY CONVENTIONAL AUTOMATIC CONTROLS AND INSTALLATIONS CONTROLLED BY NEW ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : NELDEBERG P.

Summary

PRIOR TO AUTOMATISE A REFRIGERATING PLANT BY ADOPTING NEW DATA PROCESSING SYSTEMS, IT IS NECESSARY TO GATHER THE FUNCTIONS IN DEFINITE SECTIONS. THESE SECTIONS SHOULD BE CAPABLE TO WORK CORRECTLY WITH ONE ANOTHER, THUS THE SIGNAL INTERFACE SHOULD BE DEEPLY STUDIED. AMONGST SELECTION CRITERIA, THE QUICK DEFECT DIAGNOSIS IS A PREREQUISITE. OTHER SIGNIFICANT CRITERIA ARE ECONOMICS AND RELIABILITY. THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF DATA PROCESSING IS DUE TO THE ECONOMIC ASPECTS RESULTING IN A GOOD ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND A DECREASE IN LABOUR COSTS. THE AUTHOR ADVISES FOR DECENTRALISED CONTROL, BOTH TECHNICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY.IT SHOULD BE ENVISAGED FOR GENERALISED CONTROL AT A HIGHER LEVEL, EG BY MEANS OF A COMPUTER.
