Summary

Polyalkylenglycols (PAGs) and esters have been shown to be the most promising candidates for automobile air conditioners and household refrigerators which apply R134a as the new refrigerant. Although PAGs and esters are candidates for the new HFC systems, some HFCs are not totally to be miscible even with PAGs and esters. Further development of new lubricants will be required.
